About Me

Hello! I'm Juan Sebastian Guerrero Peña, an Electronics Engineer and Data Scientist based in Bucaramanga, Colombia. I hold a degree in Electronics Engineering from the Universidad Industrial de Santander, IBM certified Data Science Professional and Technical degree in Administrative Assistance from SENA.

My professional journey is fueled by a passion for the vast possibilities that electronics offer in generating substantial amounts of data. As a Data Scientist, my goal is to continually enhance my skills and deepen my knowledge in specific areas within the field. Data Science Programming Electronics

Computer Vision NLP Games

Classification and Image Harmonization

This grade project is particularly interested in the effects of harmonization in a multi-vendor scenario. For this, we establish various harmonization strategies by combining different approaches, and leverage our two-vendor dataset to train and test different models using several dataset partitions.

Hand Interaction 3D Models

This project uses computer vision algorithms that detect hands to allow interaction with 3D models just by moving or closing the hands. This project was created for use in Hologram PyP holographic fans.

ResNet Cardiac Signal Classifier

This project use the ResNet Deep Learning power to categorize signals between Normal, noise and arrhythmia. The model use repetitive blocks of one-dimensional convolutional networks.

NLP Sentiment Analysis Albums ID

A sentiment analysis of the lyrics on Imagine Dragons albums. Using Python and NLTK Vader to analyze the (literal) sentiment in their lyrics and some wordclouds to get interesting visualizations.

CNN Digit Classifier

This is a project that aims to create a model for the classification of numerical digits using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Numbers from 0 to 9. We collect the data, build the model, train and test the model. We also proposed creating an interactive program that would allow the user to draw the digits and see the model classification results.

Its Just a Hug

It's Just a Hug is a local video game for two players where each player has the mission to get rid of the bomb, to do so he must stick it to his partner and run away so as not to be caught again.

RTD Thermometer

A system that allows to measure and visualize the temperature using a thermal resistance sensor (RTD). The system was designed to measure temperatures between 0°C and 100°C with a precision of 0.1°C.

Electrocardiograph Biocarding

This work developed a low-cost, easy-to-use electrocardiograph capable of acquiring, amplifying and processing ECG signals. The system incorporates several components, including an instrumentation amplifier, low-pass and high-pass filters, a gain amplifier, and a voltage-shift circuit.

Weather Station

I participated in the integration and sending of data from this meteorological station, using an ESP32 and sensors to measure: temperature, CO2, UV, particulate matter. The data was sent to a server and displayed on a website.
